Network of Disaster Management Practitioners (NDMP)

Registered with the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) since 2011 under Company Ordinance 1984, The NDMP is pouring valuable contribution in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction with a vision towards “Sustainable Resilience” by incorporating dynamism in curbing vulnerabilities to cope with ever changing disaster patterns. NDMP shares expertise in all spectrum of the Disaster Management through network of experienced, devoted and highly skilled Disaster Management Practitioners from inside and outside Pakistan. NDMP is aiming to link all DRR practitioners through such platform by organizational cooperation, linkages, trainings, conferences, seminars, exposure visits, symposia and data sharing etc.

NDMP has secured a project titled “Developing CADER of Community Workforce for Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response for Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province” under the financial assistance of USAID Ambassador’s Fund Grant Program through Trust for Democratic, Education and Accountability (TDEA). NDMP has a full-fledged dedicated unit of Training and Research headed by Program Manager. To further enhance the capacities of the Training and Research Unit in general and to accomplish the tasks of said project in specific, NDMP is looking for a Training Officer to organize and impart training sessions on First Aid, Search and Rescue and Fire Safety at different level.

  •   A Master degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences preferably in Disaster Management.
  •   At least 03 years of professional experience in conducting session/courses on above specified areas.
  •   Exposure in designing and creating corporate training programs in the area of FA, SAR and Fire Safety etc.
  •   Track record of creating training programs and materials.
  •   Demonstrated experience in training needs analysis and curriculum development.
  •   Excellent English, Urdu and Pushto language’s communication skills.
  •   Strong facilitation, coordination and representation skills. Preference will be given to professional certified trainers.
  •   Knowledge of sensitivities and experience of work in humanitarian setting with the national partner organizations, Government, INGOs and UN agencies.
  •   Experience in developing training toolkit related with the First Aid (FA), Search and Rescue (SAR) and Fire safety related trainings.
  •   Conduct commercial & noncommercial trainings on above specified areas.
  •   Supervise and deliver practical sessions and conduct hands on exercises on FA, SAR and Fire safety.
  •   Conduct TOT sessions on FA, SAR and Fire safety.
  •   Will join training and research team for conducting courses related with DRM and CBRDM.
  •   Purchase, maintain and keep updated record of FA, SAR and Fire safety equipment at NDMP.
  •   Develop course completion reports on training courses related with the FA, SAR and Fire Safety.
  •   Maintain alumni database of the above courses organized under NDMP.
  •   Wide travelling to far off areas for organizing community level emergency response trainings.
