Network of Disaster Management Practitioners (NDMP) Registered with the Government of Pakistan under Company Ordinance 1984, during September 2011, the Network of Disaster Management Practitioners (NDMP) is pouring valuable contribution in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction with a vision towards “empowering disaster resilient communities”. NDMP shares expertise in all spectrum of the Disaster Management through network of experienced, devoted and highly skilled Disaster Management Practitioners from all over the countries. NDMP is aiming to link all DRR practitioners through trainings, organizational cooperation, exposure visits, conferences, seminars and symposium etc. Since its establishment during 2011, NDMP remained heavily engaged on various projects with more than five UNOs, more than ten I/NGOs and World Bank on different aspects of the Disaster Risk Management.

  •   Higher degree preferably Ph.D. in disaster management or relevant field.
  •   At least 7-8 years of relevant International/National experience.
  •   Experience in developing training toolkits (participants workbook, trainer’s guidebook) at various aspects of disaster management for DRR practitioners.

The Curriculum Development Specialist will work under the overall supervision of Team Lead, and will perform the following tasks:

  •   Develop participant’s work book of five days training course on “Disaster Risk Management for Provincial and District level Government officers” of Sindh Province by set contents of the course.
  •   Develop participant’s work book of three days course on “Drought Mitigation” specifically in Sindh Province by following the set contents of the course.
  •   Review various training curricula and other relevant literature on the mentioned two participant’s workbook available at National, Provincial and District level
  •   The candidate shall share the first draft of both participant’s workbook with the team lead for review; The candidate shall be responsible for incorporation of comments of Team Lead/AIT within the given timeframe;
  •   The position is required for three (03) months but the candidate would be expected to complete the draft manuals on 30th August, 2019.
