The Trainer’s Guidebook on “Community-Based Disaster Risk Management” was designed to build a cadre of master trainers from selected union councils in targeted districts of Punjab. It aims to equip them with a comprehensive understanding of key concepts within the CBDRM framework. These master trainers are expected to utilize their training skills to conduct community-level sessions, thereby cascading the CBDRM approach and creating a network of trainers and emergency responders prepared to address emerging hazard risks.
Developed by PDMA Punjab with financial support from the World Bank, and technical assistance from the Network of Disaster Management Practitioners (NDMP), this guidebook was part of the “Disaster and Climate Resilient Program” implemented during 2021-2022.
Published in Urdu, the guidebook comprises six modules, each featuring detailed session plans, required resources, and supplementary materials to support effective delivery and understanding of the training sessions.
